"High School Musical" cast will reunite for a special telecast to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the movie, Disney Channel has announced. "Seeing the cast of 'High School Musical' back together again reaffirms what made it special 10 years ago," Gary Marsh, Disney Channels Worldwide president and chief creative officer, said in a release.

On Saturday, January 16, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman who starred in the Disney Channel original movie returned to East High to tape segments for the special. They will reflect on their "HSM" experience in the special telecast.

Male lead Zac Efron was not present during the taping because it conflicted with promotion of his movie "Dirty Grandpa", but he will still appear in a pre-taped message. The reunited stars, meanwhile, have taken to Twitter to share pictures from the their reunion.

The reunion special will air Wednesday, January 20 at 8 P.M. ET on Disney Channel.
