AceShowbiz - Ronda Rousey made good on her promise to attend Marine Corps Ball three months after saying yes to a video request by Marine Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert. The UFC fighter accompanied the marine on a December 11 event in Maryland.
She posted on Instagram a picture from the event. They were seen all smiles. "Thank you Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert for taking me to the Marine Corps Ball, being such a gentleman, and putting a smile on my face again," she captioned the photo.
Haschert invited Rousey to the ball through a Facebook video in August, calling her "a phenomenal person." She said yes back then and jokingly told TMZ, "He's gotta be a gentleman, though, I'm not a first-date-kind-of-girl."
Speculation emerged that she might not come as she shied away from spotlight following her shocking loss to Holly Holm in November and he hadn't heard from her since she accepted his invitation.
But apparently that's not the case. "I promised I'd go. It's an honor to be asked," she said, adding, "Honestly, I'd probably stay on my couch, crying and eating ice cream if he hadn't asked me. So it's probably a good thing."
