The 'Dumb and Dumber To' actor reveals he will voice a dog in the upcoming stop-motion animated movie which he says will be 'a Japanese story.'

AceShowbiz -

Back in October, fans learned that Wes Anderson was busy working on his stop-motion animation project. The untitled Wes Anderson project is now taking a big step ahead as it adds "A Very Murray Christmas" actor Bill Murray to its voice cast.

In a recent interview, Murray revealed that he would once again collaborate with Anderson. The 65-year-old actor also explained that he would voice a dog in the upcoming animated movie. "...I'm playing a dog. He's doing another, like a stop motion animated kind of comedy sort of like 'The Fantastic Mr. Fox'," Murray said. The actor also said that the movie would be "a Japanese story" and he's "very excited" to be involved in the project.

Murray will star alongside Jeff Goldblum, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton and Bob Balaban, who will lend their voice to a pack of dogs. The stop-motion movie marks the third time that Goldblum has worked with Anderson, following "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel". Official release date has yet to be announced, but the movie is expected to arrive in U.S. theaters in 2017.

Murray most recently appeared in this year's "Rock the Kasbah" and "Aloha". He will voice Baloo in the upcoming "The Jungle Book" and is expected to make a cameo appearance in "Ghostbusters (2016)".
