Seemingly referring to his divorce from Miranda and new romance with his fellow 'The Voice' coach, Blake calls 2015 a 'crazy year' with 'awesome' ending during his acceptance speech.

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton earned his first CMT Artist of the Year Award at the network's awards show held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville on Wednesday, December 2. Apparently referring to his divorce from Miranda Lambert and new romance with Gwen Stefani, the "Sangria" singer called the past year a "crazy year" with "awesome" ending during his acceptance speech.

Not preparing his acceptance speech, Blake told the crowd, "Let me just say that I want to thank my label and thank my entire team." He continued, "There's too many people to stand up here and name, but more importantly, I want to say that this has been a crazy year, from the way it started to how it's ending is so awesome for me. So thank you all. This is a great way to end it for me. Thank you so much."

Prior to Blake's appearance onstage, Trace Adkins joked about his budding romance with Gwen. "I've known Blake personally and professionally for 15 years or so. And his rise to fame has really been incredible to watch. He has been named the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year five times. He has had four albums reach the top of the chart, 15 No. 1 singles in a row." Trace added, "On top of all that, he has still got his day job on 'The Voice'. Not a whole lot this guy can't do, other than keep his love life private."

Last year, Blake's ex-wife Miranda received CMT Artist of the Year Award and told the crowd during her speech, "My husband, I always forget to thank him, but he's my rock - Blake Shelton." Back in July, the former couple finalized their divorce on the same day they announced their split. Four months later, it was confirmed that Blake began dating Gwen.
