Shortly after his alleged affair with nanny Mindy Mann became public, Gavin Rossdale is hit with another rumor from his past. Radar Online reported that the Bush lead singer had a sexual relationship with British singer Boy George prior to his marriage to Gwen Stefani.

Boy's longtime friend Sham Ibrahim told the news outlet the details of Boy's past relationship with Gavin. Sham said of how he found out Gavin's bisexuality, "I worked on the 'Hey Baby' music video with Gwen and when Gavin came on set, I realized that it was the same guy that used to run around with Marilyn and Boy George in New York City." He added, "I used to run in that circle. This was before Gavin got famous."

Marilyn is a cross-dresser who recently claimed that he was romancing Gavin. "Marilyn and Boy George used to hate each other," Sham explained. "Boy George always hated Marilyn because he was so pretty and Marilyn always hated Boy George because he was so famous." Of Gavin's relationship with Marilyn, Sham said, "They would go places holding hands and would cuddle up to each other. Gavin was not closeted about his bisexuality at all at the time."

Nevertheless, Gavin was said to ditch Marilyn as soon as he got close to Boy. "They were dating for almost a year," Sham said of Gavin and Boy's relationship. "It was so well-known that Gavin was sleeping with Boy George. This was common knowledge [in the club scene]."

Regarding why Gavin and Boy eventually broke up, Sham explained, "Gavin was running all around NYC bragging about his relationship with Boy George and having sex with him. But after Boy George found out that Gavin was spreading his business all over town, he cut him off."
