In a preview of the interview which airs on Friday, October 30, Leah says, 'Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself. You are evil.'

AceShowbiz - Former Scientologist Leah Remini details her new tell-all book "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" in an upcoming "20/20" interview, airing on Friday, October 30. In a preview of the interview, Leah opens up about the controversial church and why she left.

"The decision to leave is you are giving up everything you have ever known and everything you have worked for your whole life," the star of "The King of Queens" says, "I feel that people need to understand this has been my whole life. I want them to understand how it happens."

"As time goes on, you start to lose touch with the real world. The mindset becomes us against them," Leah says, before adding, "Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself. You are evil." At the end of the video, the interviewer asks Leah, "If you knew that Tom Cruise was watching this, what would you say to him?"

Leah's new memoir will hit the bookstore on November 3.

The "Leah Remini: It's All Relative" star left Scientologist in 2013 after 30 years being a member of the church. She was initially brought into the church by her mother. "I don't think people know the amount of dedication it takes to be in this organization," she told Oprah Winfrey in an interview back in May, "It was every day, three and a half hours minimum, seven days a week usually."

Church International Spokesperson Karin Pouw told PEOPLE, "It comes as no surprise that someone as self-absorbed as Leah Remini with an insatiable craving for attention would exploit her former faith as a publicity stunt by rewriting her history with it, including omitting that she was participating in a program to remain a Scientologist by her own choice, as she was on the verge of being expelled for her ethical lapses."
