AceShowbiz - Leah Remini, 54, and her ex-husband, Angelo Pagan, 56, have hashed out a divorce settlement that addresses spousal support and the division of their assets.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Leah, who represented herself in the case, informed the court that she had entered into an agreement with Angelo covering "their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support."
The agreement outlines the terms for spousal support, property distribution, and attorney fees. As previously reported, Leah sold the couple's six-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 10,000-square-foot Los Angeles home for $9 million prior to the divorce becoming public.
The divorce filing, which was initiated by Leah on August 29, 2023, cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. The couple have no minor children together and have requested that both parties be denied spousal support.
Both Leah and Angelo agreed to waive their right to support without seeking legal representation. They have reportedly exchanged all necessary financial information and resolved all issues related to assets and debts.
In a joint statement released on social media, the couple announced their decision to divorce after 28 years together. They emphasized that the decision was made with "a lot of thought and care." They shared that they remain close and will continue to celebrate holidays, watch TV shows, and gather as a family, despite their divorce.
Leah and Angelo acknowledge that their roles within the marriage no longer aligned with their personal growth and have decided to move forward with a different dynamic. They expressed gratitude for the memories they created and view their divorce as a celebration of their lasting bond.
Leah and Angelo emphasized the importance of embracing different relationship experiences and not feeling isolated during changes in relationships. They hope that their journey will inspire others to recognize that relationships, whether they evolve or end, are not failures.
