The 'Big Bang Theory' star reportedly could no longer tolerate her husband's addiction to painkillers as he 'couldn't make the commitment to get sober.'

AceShowbiz - Kaley Cuoco decided to end her 21-month marriage to Ryan Sweeting because of his addiction to painkillers, Us Weekly reports. According to the latest issue of the magazine, Ryan's personal struggles with painkillers "turned their marriage into nightmare."
The magazine reports Kaley was already planning to split from her husband when she was gushing about her marriage during a September 20 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live". The star of "The Big Bang Theory" was allegedly upset Ryan had "developed a dependency on painkillers" to deal with a series of injuries.
"[Kaley] supported [Ryan] but she said he couldn't make the commitment to get sober," an insider tells the site, "He'd tell her he was working on it and instead go get wasted." The insider adds that the 29-year-old actress is "devastated" their marriage has crumbled and has "sworn off dating."
According to the magazine, Ryan was sober when he tied the knot with Kaley in December 2013 after only six months of dating, but his addiction to painkillers was worsened afterwards. Ryan had another injury in early 2015 which allegedly caused even more problems.
"Kaley told friends (that) doctors prescribed something that he was taking too much of," the insider says, "That was when it went downhill again." Ryan allegedly made a "last-ditch effort to enter a Boston rehab in September" to save their marriage, but by then Kaley was ready to walk away.
"She didn't want to get divorced, but felt she had no choice," a source close to Kaley says, "She couldn't fix him. He wasn't the man she thought he was. She couldn't take his ups and downs. He'd lash out at her."
Kaley filed for divorce from Ryan on Friday, September 25, citing the usual "irreconcilable differences." According to the source, "[Kaley] isn't wasting any time ending their marriage. She's ready to move on."
