Mark Wahlberg dropped a "Ted" joke when hosting the Festival of Families which was attended by Pope Francis on Saturday, September 26 in Philadelphia. The actor jokingly asked for forgiveness for his raunchy movie.

After a performance by 14-year-old Bobby Hill of the Keystone State Boychoir, Wahlberg told the crowd, "He whispered in my ear that he liked the movie 'Ted', I told him that was not appropriate for his age. Holy Father, please forgive me."

Wahlberg also gave a "Go Eagles" cheer when introducing former Eagles running back, Herb Lusk, who became the first NFL player to kneel and pray after a touchdown in 1977. Lusk has served as a pastor at the Greater Exodus Baptist Church since 1982. The actor himself once starred in the 2006 movie "Invincible", playing a real-life Eagles wide receiver Vince Papale.

Aretha Franklin belted out "Amazing Grace" during the event. Other musical guests included Andrea Bocelli and The Fray.
