'Ghostbusters' Reboot Adds Another Original Star Sigourney Weaver as Cameo
Movie

The actress who played Dana Barrett in the original movies will join former co-stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts in the all-female reboot.

AceShowbiz - Another cameo is revealed by Paul Feig for his upcoming "Ghostbusters (2016)". Sigourney Weaver, who played Dana Barrett in the original flicks, is confirmed to make an appearance in the remake. The director broke the news on Twitter, explaining that he initially wanted to keep it secret but decided to announce it himself due to imminent leak.

"Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I'll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!" Feig informed his Twitter followers. He also wrote, "Everyone should know that any and all cameo announcements are leaks and nothing we wanted made public. Media, please take note. I only announced @Ernie_Hudson as a cameo because our set was overrun by paparazzi. I really wanted these cameos to be surprises. Just FYI."

The movie will hit U.S. theaters on July 15, 2016. Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon take over the lead roles. Besides having Weaver's cameo, the film is expected to feature other original stars like Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts.

The reboot has just wrapped production as previously revealed by Feig. In addition to giving updates on the film's progress, the director "hit the wall with the haters." He called one critic a "tiresome, dude," and blasted another in a post that read, "You all have no idea what we did, so stop acting like you do. Enough is enough. Just let this movie happen. #enough."

Feig replied to a different skeptic fan, "You're an a**. Oops, did I say that? #drunkentweet #notreally #sickofthehaters #enough #freedom #onvacation." He dropped more expletive as he continued with another hater, "And since I'm on a roll, you, sir, are the biggest a** of them all. Seriously. You s**t on all your former heroes." He then dismissed one more critic, "You've been ranting at me and my cast for months with misogyny and insults. So go f**k yourself. Goodnight. #enough."
