The Weeknd's 'Beauty Behind the Madness' Spends Third Week at Billboard 200's No. 1

The Canadian singer's sophomore effort becomes the first to have spent at least three weeks in a row at No. 1 since Taylor Swift's '1989' did so in January earlier this year.

AceShowbiz - The Weeknd is still dominating the Billboard 200 with his latest album "Beauty Behind the Madness". The LP earns its third consecutive week at the chart's No. 1 with additional 99,000 equivalent units, according to Nielsen Music.

"Madness" becomes the first album in nine months to have spent at least three weeks in a row atop the list. Previous release to do so was Taylor Swift's "1989" which earlier this year ruled Billboard 200 for three straight weeks from January 10 to January 24. The former country diva's latest album has topped the chart for a total of 11 non-consecutive weeks.

Next on this week's Billboard 200, rock group Bring Me the Horizon collects their highest-charting album ever with "That's the Spirit" which also marks their first top 10 effort. It lands at No. 2 with 62,000 units including 55,000 in pure album sales.

At No. 3, country star Brett Eldredge's sophomore album "Illinois" debuts with 51,000, his best week ever. With 44,000 in traditional album sales, the new set surpasses its predecessor "Bring You Back" that opened at No. 11 back in 2013 with 21,000 copies in its first week.

Slayer becomes the next rock group in the top 10 to post their highest-charting album yet as their "Repentless" starts at No. 4 with 50,000 units. The veteran musicians' previous high was 2006's "Christ Illusion" that debuted at peaked at No. 5.

Swift's "1989" rounds out the to 5, rising from last week's No. 7 with another 41,000 units. Luke Bryan's "Kill the Lights" keeps its position steady at No. 6 with 37,000 units while Five Finger Death Punch's "Got Your Six" plunges five rungs to No. 7 with 34,000 units.

Gary Clark Jr.'s "The Story of Sonny Boy Slim" is another newcomer in the top 10, debuting at No. 8 with 28,000. Ed Sheeran's "X" stays at No. 9 with 26,000. Behind the British singer is Duran Duran whose "Paper Gods" arrives on the list at No. 10 with 25,000 units.
