Reps for the Swedish DJ cite his busy summer and the pressure of delivering his 'Stories' album as contributing factors to the decision to reschedule all the remaining 2015 shows for next year.

Avicii has canceled all of his shows scheduled to take place later this year. His reps announced the news in a statement sent to Billboard, saying that the Swedish DJ's taking "a well deserved break" and that the delayed gigs would return next year with "larger tour initiative."

The reps said that Avicii decided to take a hiatus for the rest of 2015 because of his busy summer and the pressure of delivering his new album "Stories". His directorial debut in his "For a Better Day" and "Pure Grinding" music videos was also cited as a contributing factor to the decision.

"I look forward to keep being innovative with my team in leading a bigger change than just with my music. In moving my tour promotional responsibilities to next year, I have a great opportunity to focus on myself and spend time trying to grow up in a way I never got the chance to - normal, or as normal as it could get," said Avicii. "My team, label and family have encouraged me to do that and I realize not many in my position get that opportunity."

The news came roughly a year after the 25-year-old producer had to cancel his appearances at multiple events to fully recover after having his gall bladder and appendix removed.
