To mark one-year anniversary of Joan Rivers' death, E! plans a tribute special. The network has announced that the half-hour program, which will be hosted by the late comedienne's daughter Melissa Rivers, is set to air on Thursday, September 3 at 8 P.M. ET.

"Celebrating Joan" will feature some of Joan's funniest, most outrageous and most memorable moments from her years on "Fashion Police". It will include footage and bloopers from her time on the show.

Joan Rivers died September 4 last year at 81 years old during a minor throat procedure. Melissa Rivers recently revealed that she scattered some of her late mother's ashes in a place where they usually took annual family vacation together in Wyoming.

Joan's besties, meanwhile, plan to hold a private memorial for the late "Fashion Police" host. New York's Daily News reports that Joan's New York inner circle will gather at Sardi's on Tuesday, September 8 to share memories and pictures as well as talk about what life is like without Joan.
