Following her breakout hit "Here" and her Taylor Swift-approved take on "Bad Blood", Alessia Cara continued to impress people with her cover of a song by fellow Canadian Drake. Earlier this week, the 19-year-old rising singer stopped by Sydney's TV Station Channel V to perform a stripped-down version of "Hotline Bling", which is basically a remix to D.R.A.M.'s "Cha Cha".

"HERES MY COVER OF HOTLINE BLING BY MY BOY FROM THE 6 SIDE," Cara alerted her Twitter followers on Wednesday, August 19. In a video shared along with the tweet, she's seen showing off her powerful vocals as she beautifully sang the track while being backed by a guitarist and a drummer who creatively used a suitcase instead of a drum set.

"Hotline Bling" was first debuted by Drake while he was attending his barber's wedding last month. He shared the song's studio version during an episode of his OVO Sound Radio show on Beats 1. At that time, he also dropped the first Meek Mill diss track "Charged Up".
