Pharrell Williams, Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan are among those set to perform at a tribute concert at the annual gala which next year will be held on February 13.

AceShowbiz - Lionel Richie will be honored as the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year. The singer will be feted at the 26th annual MusiCares benefit gala set to take place in Los Angeles on February 13, just two nights prior to the 58th Grammy Awards.

Like usual, the upcoming event will feature a star-studded tribute concert. Already lined up to perform are Pharrell Williams, Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan. More acts will be announced in the future.

Richie, a four-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter who rose to fame as a member of the Commodores, joins previous MusiCares honorees like Paul McCartney, Barbra Streisand, Carole King and Bob Dylan among others.

"This is the highest honor in our music business because it means you have a career. You've survived the journey, if you will. The people who have been there defy categories... When I got in this business I wanted to be like them," he said in a statement of receiving the same honor as those musicians.

In addition to celebrating Richie, the MusiCares gala is held to raise money for MusiCares, which helps musicians in need of financial, medical or personal assistance. Further info about tickets and others is available on the MusiCares website.
