"Supergirl" villain has been cast. Chris Browning, known for his roles as Gogo on "Sons of Anarchy" and as Jake Griffin on "The 100", is tapped to portray Ben Krull a.k.a. Reactron, a deadly adversary of Superman's from Metropolis, who wears an armored suit powered by nuclear energy.

Since he's never able to defeat his rival, he comes to National City to get revenge on the Man of Steel by killing his cousin, Supergirl. Krull will first appear in episode three of the inaugural season and has the potential to recur.

"Supergirl" stars Melissa Benoist as the titular character who is also known as Kara Zor-El. She was born on the planet Krypton, but escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she's been hiding the powers she shares with Superman. But now, at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Mehcad Brooks plays Kara's love interest Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh is Kara's foster sister Alex Danvers, Calista Flockhart stars as Kara's boss Cat Grant, Laura Benanti plays her birth mother Alura Zor-El, and Owain Yeoman is villainous Vartox. Peter Facinelli also joins the cast as DC Comics character Maxwell Lord.

The hour-long drama will debut Monday, October 26 at 8:30 P.M. on CBS, before airing in its regular slot beginning Monday, November 2 at 8 P.M.
