AceShowbiz - A preview of the second season of "Empire" is finally here. FOX has just dropped the first trailer for the upcoming installment of the hit series, which promises "new music, new money, new power" when it arrives this fall.
In the 30-second promo, fans get to see Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) in a cage before then visiting her ex-husband Lucious (Terrence Howard) in jail. Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) performs for a massive crowd in front of a huge sign that reads, "#freelucious." The video also teases appearance of Anika (Grace Gealey).
"Empire" is scheduled to return to FOX on Wednesday, September 23. The 18-episode second season will also boast guest appearances from Kelly Rowland as Lucious' mother, Marisa Tomei, Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Adam Rodriguez among others.
