The 'Terminator Genisys' actor calls his divorce from Maria Shriver 'the biggest failure' while he has positive impression about his son Patrick Schwarzenegger's ex-girlfriend.

AceShowbiz - While stopping by "Howard Stern Show" on Wednesday, June 24, to promote his upcoming film "Terminator Genisys", Arnold Schwarzenegger had more to talk about other than the film. The 67-year-old actor opened up about his divorce from Maria Shriver and his thought about Miley Cyrus who used to date Patrick Schwarzenegger.

The 67-year-old actor told host Howard Stern that his divorce from Maria in 2011 was "without any doubt the biggest setback, the biggest failure." He admitted that he was the one to be blamed for the separation because of his affair with the former houskeeper. "Not only failure, but you feel like, 'I'm to blame for it. It was me that screwed up.' And you can't point the finger at anyone else. So yeah, I was disappointed at it. It's always easy to be smart in hindsight. The thing was how do you make the best of that situation?" said the former bodybuilder.

Despite the bad situation, he was still able to maintain good relationship with four of his children with Maria. "It has worked out really so well with the help of Maria," he admitted. He said that his family gave him a sweet surprise when he promoted the latest installment of the "Terminator" film franchise in Germany. "I walk into the room and I see the room full of balloons...It was from all four kids and from my wife," he explained. "There was a note 'You're the greatest dad, the greatest man, we love you dad.' Each one sent a card. Each one sent a gift. That's the relationship we have."

Regarding his son Patrick's past relationship with Miley who is known for her wild reputation, Arnold said that he wasn't nervous about it and he had two reasons. "One is - My kids are very strong. They have had their upbringing. They know exactly how far they can go and they should be adventurous, they should venture out and meet different people, so I was not worried about that," he said. "When I did meet Miley Cyrus, when she came up to Sun Valley skiing during the holidays, I found out that she was a fantastic person."

The former governor of California clearly has positive impression about the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker. "She was a wonderful person, then she has this career side where she maybe has to be a little out there. And is maybe a little different because she grew up in a music family. So what? It didn't bother me," he added, "I think Patrick had a wonderful experience, he had a great relationship, and then the whole thing fell apart."
