Ed Sheeran showed he could make any song sound romantic when he visited "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday night, June 1. The British pop star joined the show's host Jimmy Fallon for a hilarious skit featuring him covering rock songs while promoting a fake album called "Ed Sheeran Sings Heavy Metal".

Donning a wig and turtleneck, Fallon introduced the record meant for those who "enjoy the morbid and disturbing themes of heavy metal music, but wish that it had a more cheerful, pleasant sound." He explained, "Pop music's cherub-faced troubadour sings 25 of the darkest, most skull-crushing songs ever written."

Sheeran then appeared against a dark, thunderous clouds-filled backdrop. He played his guitar while performing acoustic version of Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" and Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff". Later in the segment, the 24-year-old singer also turned Ty Dolla $ign's "Paranoid" into something that could've made the cut to his latest album, "X".

During his appearance on "Tonight Show", Sheeran also performed his newest single "Photograph" and talked about hanging out with Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z after the power couple attended his sold-out show at the Barclays Center last weekend.

"I grew up listening to them and then suddenly I was just like sitting across eating a slice of pizza," he said. "They're the coolest, coolest people. They're just open to whatever."
