Beyonce Knowles has visited Haiti with United Nations humanitarian chief Baroness Amos to see progress made since the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake which struck the country in 2010. Beyonce shared on Instagram on Sunday, May 17 some photos from her visit.
In the photos, the "Crazy in Love" hitmaker could be seen wearing a white "BEY GOOD" tee paired with ripped, high-waisted jeans. She wore natural color make-up and her blonde locks were styled in low ponytail. Jay-Z's wife captioned one of the pictures, "Haiti. Humanitarian mission with the UN."
Beyonce was seen smiling widely when approaching a baby held by her mother.
The "Run the World" hitmaker also posed for pictures with the rescue team and some doctors working in the area.
U.N. mission spokeswoman Sophie Boutaud de la Combe said in a statement that Beyonce traveled with U.N. Emergency Relief Coordinator and Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos and met "some of the people who were affected by" the devastating disaster five years ago. Visiting areas such as Port-au Prince, Beyonce was all smiles while handing out necessary resources like food and water to local resident.
