AceShowbiz - Jessie J has debuted the music video for "Flashlight", her contribution to the soundtrack of "Pitch Perfect 2". Hitting the web on Thursday, April 23, the clip directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the same person behind her "Bang Bang" clip, finds the British singer "stranded" at Barden University. She sings and dances among the students before treating them to a concert with numerous flashlights lit in the audience.
"I guess the ultimate feel behind the video and the concept is about giving someone something happy, you're my flashlight," she told ET of the visuals. "Having someone that gives you light in moments of darkness."
"Flashlight" was co-penned by hitmakers Sam Smith and Sia Furler. It will appear alongside a "campfire version" of "Cups", a '90s medley and Ester Dean-penned "Crazy Youngsters" on the "Pitch Perfect 2" soundtrack that's now available for pre-order.
Directed by Elizabeth Banks, the movie is hitting U.S. theaters on May 15. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are among those returning for the sequel to 2012's "Pitch Perfect".
