'Avengers: Age of Ultron' cast members will assemble at the April 12 event to present the Iron Man depicter with the special award.

AceShowbiz - Robert Downey Jr. is picked as the recipient of the Generation Award at this year's MTV Movie Awards. Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner will present him with the award and debut a new "Avengers: Age of Ultron" clip.
"Throughout his career, Robert Downey Jr. has mesmerized audiences by capturing the humanity in larger-than-life characters like Charlie Chaplin, Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark," said Stephen Friedman, President of MTV. "He's a brilliant actor and a Hollywood icon, and we are proud to recognize his tremendous passion and talent with this year's Generation Award."
The event will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, April 12 at 8 P.M. ET. Amy Schumer serves as a host. Shailene Woodley will receive Trailblazer Award, and Kevin Hart will be honored with Comedic Genius Award.
