A judge has extended the 'Mean Girls' actress' probation for another three months to allow her to complete the extra 125 hours of community service stemming from a 2012 reckless driving case.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan was slapped with extra 125 hours of community service on Wednesday, February 25. Judge Mark Young extended LiLo's probation for another three months so she had time to complete the extra hours of community service.

The "Mean Girls" attorney Shawn Holley told Los Angeles Times that the court and prosecutors "had a problem with some of the work shadowing." She added, "They didn't want to hear more about how that played out."

A proceeding is scheduled for March 12 to decide how LiLo can complete the community service in an acceptable way. According to Shawn, the "Freaky Friday" star "doesn't have a problem" with the extra community service hours. "She's enjoying doing community service," Shawn added, "Her passion is really working with kids ... and kids really respond to her."

Santa Monica Chief Deputy City Attorney Terry White, who previously doubted a proof of LiLo's community service progress, told PEOPLE, "I agree with [the court's decision]. There were things she did that didn't qualify as community service."

Terry added that "there's always a possibility of jail time" if LiLo didn't complete the required hours in a satisfactory manner to the court.
