In anticipation of "Fifty Shades of Grey", Sia Furler premiered her contribution to the film's soundtrack. The Australian singer/songwriter shared a slow-tempo ballad titled "Salted Wound" online on Tuesday, January 27.
The song highlights Sia's breathy vocals. "Tell her on how you feel/ Give her every say she needs to hear/ Give your heart, and say come take it/ And she will see you're a good man," she sings over the violin.
"Salted Wound" is the third offering from the "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack, following The Weeknd's "Earned It" and Ellie Goulding's "Love Me Like You Do". The album, which will also feature a new version of Beyonce Knowles' "Crazy in Love", is scheduled for release on February 10.
The film, meanwhile, is opening in U.S. theaters on February 13, just in time for Valetine's Day. Based on an erotic novel by E. L. James, the R-rated flick stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, Dakota Johnson as his girlfriend and Rita Ora as his sister among others.
