AceShowbiz - DJ Mustard is the latest to jump on a remix of Beyonce Knowles' "7/11". Following in the footsteps of French Montana and Jack U a.k.a. Diplo and Skrillex, the producer released his version of the hit via his SoundCloud page on Thursday, January 15.
DJ Mustard's rework is completely different from the original. Bey can be heard repeatedly chanting "fresher than you" over the brand new electro-inspired beat that makes the song sound more appropriate for the club scene.
"7/11" was co-written and co-produced by Beyonce herself. Having peaked at No. 13 on Billboard Hot 100, it is one of two brand new songs on "Beyonce (The Platinum Edition)", the re-release of the diva's 2013 self-titled album.
The box set, also featuring remixes by Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams among others, debuted and peaked at No. 8 on Billboard 200 following its arrival last year.
