Bill's lawyer says his client's comments to journalist Stacy Brown 'continue to be misconstrued in a way that can only call into question the fair-mindedness of certain commentators.'

AceShowbiz - Bill Cosby's lawyer has issued a statement to USA Today regarding his client's comments to New York Post journalist Stacy Brown. The lawyer said Bill's "black media" comments to Stacy continued to be "misconstrued in a way that can only call into question the fair-mindedness of certain commentators."

The lawyer added, "To be clear, Mr. Cosby did not ask for special treatment from the African-American media. To the contrary, he asked that they adhere to journalistic standards and approach the story in a neutral manner - without a predisposition on either side of the story. It is of course what we would expect of all media."

The lawyer also cited Michael Eric Dyson, a Georgetown professor, who recently slammed Bill for his "black media" remarks. "Mr. Cosby understands that Mr. Dyson does not agree with Mr. Cosby's views, but such mean-spirited and reckless rhetoric cannot go unchallenged by responsible people and journalists," the lawyer said.

Michael previously accused Bill of "raping" the entire black community. "The very kind of man who would rape women, allegedly, is the same kind of man who will rape an entire black community, poor black people who are vulnerable before him, using his powerful foot to clump down on their necks," he said during an appearance on "NOW with Alex Wagner".

In other news, a new woman who accused the comedian of drugging her sat down with Dr. Phil in an interview which aired on Friday, December 19. Identified only as Lisa, the woman claimed she met Bill in 1988 after she was called in to audition for him when she was 21 and an aspiring model.

Lisa was later invited to Bill's hotel suite where he gave her two drinks that he said would help her to relax. "I noticed myself getting a little dizzy," she shared, "Bill had sat down on the edge of the couch. He said, 'Come over here and have a seat.' He had his legs open, and when I sat down, I was sitting down in between his legs with my back to his crotch. And he started to stroke my hair back in a petting motion."

"The last thing I remember is just feeling the strokes on my head. After that, I don't remember anything else," she went on, "I don't remember the next morning. I don't remember how I got home. I still don't remember that following day. It was two days later when I actually sent to my mom."

"Now that I've heard the stories from other women, I understand what he did. He drugged me. The image that I find myself fighting with is creating my own scenarios of what he did," she added as she started crying, "I don't want to see those. I don't want to guess what he did to me. I just don't want it to be anything. I trusted him. I trusted him like I trusted my own father."

Lisa then explained her reason not to report the incident shortly after it happened. "The stroking of the hair was odd, but I didn't feel violated until Janice Dickinson came out and revealed what he did to her and that she remembered what actually happened after the stroking of the hair, per se," she shared, "So for me, I just found out a month ago what happened to me."

The Friday episode also featured other accusers including Kristina Ruehli, Victoria Valentino, Beth Ferrier, Helen Hayes and Chelan.
