Robin Williams' Son Zak Remembers His Late Father: 'I Miss Him All the Time'

The eldest son of Robin and Valerie Velardi is speaking out about the terrible loss that his family has endured four months after the actor's passing.

AceShowbiz - Robin Williams' son Zachary Pym "Zak" Williams opens up about the lingering grief that his family has endured four months after his father's death. In an interview with PEOPLE for its latest issue, Zak says of his late father, "I miss him all the time."

The 31-year-old man continues, "Often I see something or if I'm watching a film, I think, 'Oh, man, he would have appreciated this' or 'He would have gotten a laugh out of this.' " Talking about himself and his siblings Zelda and Cody, Zak says, "There's not a day that goes by that we don't think about our dad."

The eldest son of Robin Williams and Valerie Velardi has been volunteering at a local prison to honor Robin's spirit of giving back. "It's through helping others that I've begun to heal," Zak tells the magazine.

Robin's friend Marlo Thomas, who knew him for 18 years through their work at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, is also interviewed by the magazine. She recalls Robin's extraordinary connection with the patients. "One of them liked toy soldiers, so Robin sent him his own toy soldiers that he had saved all those years of his childhood," she shares, "When he came there, it was like magic."

Robin passed away on August 11 after hanging himself with a belt. His wife said that he was battling early stage of Parkinson's disease before committing suicide.
