Leaked Sony emails also reveal that Ryan Gosling is interested to star in Paul Feig's 'Ghostbusters' reboot, but Amy Pascal wanted him for 'Sinister Six'.

More leaked emails obtained in the massive Sony hack reveal the execs' discussion about the upcoming "Ghostbusters" movie. According to The Daily Beast, Channing Tatum pitched his own idea for the possible new installment involving "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" directors Joe and Anthony Russo, as well as Chris Pratt.

The "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" star allegedly wrote to Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal, "Let us show the world The DarkSide and let us fight it with all the glory and epicness of a HUGE BATMAN BEGINS MOVIE. I know we can make this a huge franchise. Fun adventure craziness. COME OONNNN!!!"

Hannah Minghella, co-president of production for Columbia Pictures, then detailed the project to Pascal, "The Russos, Channing and Reid have been brainstorming ideas and want to create a whole new mythology that would support multiple movies (the way that Nolan reinvented Batman). To be clear - the Russos want to produce (not direct) and while Channing and Chris are looking for a movie to do together they haven't mentioned this to him yet because they weren't sure how we'd react."

Minghella added that she liked the idea, but she's not sure if they could develop two "Ghostbusters" movies (the other is the official all-female untitled Ghostbusters reboot with Paul Feig attached as director) simultaneously. Additionally, Joe Russo suggested that Feig could direct both films.

In other "Ghostbusters"-related news, it's reported that Ryan Gosling's also interested in the reboot project. Pascal allegedly asked Michael De Luca, co-president of production for Columbia Pictures, what projects Gosling wanted to do with them, and he responded, "It's Ghostbusters according to Ilene [Feldman, Gosling's manager]."

Pascal later wrote to Columbia's co-president Minghella about the "Ghostbusters" reboot, "There is one make [male] part paul is planning. How insane would that be... He also wants jennifer [Lawrence] and Emma [Stone]." She also sent an email to Feldman asking if Gosling's interested to star in "The Sinister Six" and "Jobs". It's unclear if the offer is still on the table since the email dated back in October, but the "Gangster Squad" actor will surely not star in the Steve Jobs biopic.

Meanwhile, the original "Ghostbuster" star Bill Murray was almost sued after he refused to return for the new installment. David Steinberg, head of Sony Pictures Entertainment's legal department, wrote to Leah Weil, SPE's general counsel, in late October, "In order to more fully evaluate our position if Bill Murray again declines to engage on 'Ghostbusters', AG requested that we identify 'aggressive' litigation counsel with whom we can consult to evaluate our alternatives and strategize."

He, however, wanted to keep it quiet since he thought they "are in much worse shape if this goes public so seems to me we should look for someone who isn't seeking the spotlight."
