Named Woman of the Year, Swift is honored for selling more albums than anyone else over the course of the past year.

The 2014 is another year for Taylor Swift. For the second time, music magazine Billboard has named the country singer Woman of the Year on its latest edition which covers the "Women in Music" issue.
At 24 years old, Swift sold more albums than anyone else in music over the course of the past year. Her new album "1989" debuted at number one on Billboard Hot 200 chart and broke records for selling a million copies in a single week since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
In the accompanying article, Swift spoke about her songwriting. "I wouldn't be a singer if I weren't a songwriter. I have no interest in singing someone else's words," she said. Swift was also Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2011, the year after she released the album "Speak Now".
The 9th Annual Billboard Women in Music Awards also includes honorees in other categories. Ariana Grande is named Rising Star while Iggy Azalea nabs the title of Chart-Topper. "It just happened so quickly. This year I was really taken seriously as an artist, and it's sort of blown my mind," said Grande who has three singles sitting in the Top 10 in the same week this past summer.
The honors will be handed out on December 12 in New York City.
