Chris Pratt may appear in "The Magnificent Seven". Deadline reports that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" hottie is now in early talks to join Denzel Washington in the remake of John Sturges' 1960 film of the same title.
The project will reunite Washington with director Antoine Fuqua, whom he collaborated with in his most recent movie "The Equalizer". The filmmaker will direct based on a script drafted by "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto and revised by "The Blind Side" scribe John Lee Hancock.
The original "Seven", which is a remake of Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai", starred the likes of Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen. It followed the story of seven gunslingers who protect an oppressed Mexican village from a group of outlaws.
Fuqua's version, meanwhile, is reportedly set after the Civil War, as the Wild West era is coming to an end. According to Deadline, Pratt's character is named Farraday and isn't specifically modeled after any of the characters from the original.
