Deadmau5 still refuses to acknowledge Paris Hilton's DJing skill. He recently tweeted a "congratulatory message" to the hotel heiress after TMZ reported she won a prize at the NRJ DJ Awards in Monte Carlo.
At the fan-voted event held on Wednesday, November 12, Hilton was named the Women's Newcomer of the Year. She received her trophy from French DJ and producer Bob Sinclar. The awards show isn't very big, but big names like Avicii, David Guetta and Steve Aoki are among its previous winners.
Responding to the 33-year-old socialite's win, Deadmau5 took to twitter to mock her. "Congrats on the NRJ award. what the f**k is an nrj award?" he wrote. He also attached a link to a YouTube video titled "Paris Hilton Fake DJ".
Deadmau5 has been in a war with Hilton since she entered the EDM world. Recently, he criticized the "Stars Are Blind" singer after she told media she sometimes made $1 million per performance. In a Tumblr post, he called her "a straight up a**" for taking big gigs meant for real DJs and calling herself a "professional."
