Mama June of TLC's reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" has responded to a report of her dating a sex offender named Mark McDaniel. Mama June took to her daughter Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson's Facebook on Thursday, October 23, insisting that she left the alleged boyfriend ten years ago when he was convicted of aggravated child molestation.

"I want to make a post trying to clear up the rumors remember you can't believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid everyday that r false!" Mama June wrote. "It isnt true I promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else they r my life this is my past I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."

The link she attached to the post shows her daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon saying similar thing. "They story is not true. My mom left Mark 10 years ago. They haven't seen nor talked [to each other] in 10 years," the 14-year-old teenager told Radar Online. She also said that the photo of Mama June cozying up to the man was photoshopped.

Shannon additionally shared that her mother had been living single life since announcing separation from Sugar Bear last month. "She is all about the kids. She only needs us girls, no one else. We are all sticking together as one happy family with us four girls," she said.

McDaniel's son Michael also denied that his father had been seeing Mama June. "They are not dating, it's been 10 years," he told E! News.
