"American Horror Story: Freak Show" has released another teaser. It features no attraction from the freak show, but is not less spooky as it sees boys peeking into a tent before one of them is forcefully being dragged into it by someone/something unseen. "We see you ...," reads the caption of the video.

The latest installment of the horror anthology series is set in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

Jessica Lange plays Elsa Mars, a former German cabaret star who manages the freak show. Among the attractions are Jimmy (Evan Peters) who has lobster-like hands, his mother, bearded lady Ethel (Kathy Bates), conjoined twins Bette and Dot (Sarah Paulson), a strongman named Dell Toledo (Michael Chiklis) who is also Ethel's ex-husband, and Dell's three-breasted wife Desiree Dupree (Angela Bassett).

John Carroll Lynch will portray the season's main villain, a murderer named Twisty the Clown. Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock, Patti LaBelle and Matthew Bomer are set to star as well. The show recently added "The Nine Lives of Chloe King" star Skyler Samuels to the cast to play a "pivotal character," who is described as a local who finds herself in a tough situation.

"Freak Show" premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 10 P.M. ET/PT on FX. Series creator Ryan Murphy said to Entertainment Weekly this season would be more like "Asylum" in a way that "there's no supernatural element...well a little bit."

He explained, "There's no sort of Elizabeth Montgomery/ 'Bewitched' stuff going on. This season, once you die, you're dead. There's no supernatural thing to bring you back like last year. It's just completely new. It feels completely new. I'm shooting it in a different style. It sounds different."
