The animated sitcom from Seth MacFarlane will end its season 10 on FOX before heading to the Turner-owned cable network.

AceShowbiz - It turns out that "American Dad!" will pack his luggage. TBS has announced that the Emmy-nominated animated comedy co-created by Seth MacFarlane will move to the cable television channel for season 11. The show, which will wrap up its season 10 on FOX, will debut the new season in 2014.
" 'American Dad' is a great fit for TBS, a favorite of comedy fans who like smart, irreverent humor with ample doses of biting wit and skewering satire," Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming Seth MacFarlane and the rest of his team as they bring this iconic show to TBS."
FOX, which has been the home of the fan-favorite show since 2005, also issued a statement. " 'American Dad' is a brilliantly inventive series, and TBS's desire to platform new episodes demonstrates the enduring power of great and compelling content," Twentieth Century Fox TV Chairmen Gary Newman and Dana Walden said in a statement.
"Seth, [and co-creators] Mike [Barker] and Matt [Weitzman] have created an incredibly rich world of unique characters, and we couldn't be happier that they will be able to continue to tell their trademark brand of subversive, hilarious stories to their millions of fans."
Currently airing "American Dad!" reruns, TBS has ordered 15 episodes for season 11. Meanwhile, the 10th season of the series will be kicked off on Sunday, September 29 at 9:30 P.M. ET on FOX.
