AceShowbiz - Before it ends its run, "How I Met Your Mother" will head to San Diego Comic-Con for the first time. Twentieth Century Fox Television has announced that the sitcom, which will enter its final season this fall, will take part in the summer convention this year.

The main cast members, Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan, are set to attend the show's panel on Saturday, July 20, joined by executive producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Pamela Fryman. An exclusive look at the show will be screened.

Regular participants, such as "Sons of Anarchy", "Bones", "Family Guy", "The Simpsons", "Bob's Burgers" and "American Dad!" will make return appearances. Also brought to the convention this year are new shows likes "Sleepy Hollow" and "Murder Police".

Meanwhile, "Glee" which took part at Comic-Con in the last four years, will skip the event this season. It's worth to be noted though, that the musical series was not included on the original 20th schedule in 2012, but it eventually joined the convention.
