Portraying charismatic rocker Stacee Jaxx, Cruise is at one point seen belting out Bon Jovi's 'Wanted Dead or Alive' in front of thousands of hysterical fans.

AceShowbiz - Tom Cruise is put under the spotlight in the new trailer for "Rock of Ages". Starring as rock godfather Stacee Jaxx, Cruise appears in more scenes in this new trailer compared to the first one. At one point, the actor even shows off his singing talent as he belts out Bon Jovi's hit "Wanted Dead or Alive". Additionally, the new promo video offers some new scenes featuring Russell Brand as the manager of The Bourbon Room.

Cruise once opened up that he had practiced how to sing and dance in preparation to play Jaxx. He admitted that those were challenges to him as saying, "You know, dancing...my hat's off to all dancers. I think they're the best athletes in the world, those guys. Even singing, I had no idea...I'd do two or three hours singing and I'd go, 'Man, I'm a little tired'."

Based on a famous Broadway play, "Rock of Ages" tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock 'n' roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake and more.

To arrive in the U.S. theaters on June 15, the musical film is helmed by Adam Shankman. Joining Cruise and Brand in the cast ensemble are Julianne Hough as Sherrie, and Diego Boneta as Drew. Alec Baldwin, Bryan Cranston, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mary J. Blige, Paul Giamatti and Malin Akerman tackle the supporting roles.
