Official: The Wanted to Perform on 'American Idol'

Soon after the performance is confirmed, Jay McGuiness takes to his Twitter to thank fans for their full support.

AceShowbiz - The boys from The Wanted are coming to "American Idol", so it's confirmed on their Twitter page. Max George and his bandmates are scheduled to perform on the singing competition during a result show that will air on April 5.

"We are excited to announce we will be performing on American Idol on 5th of April!! #TheWantedOnIdol," they tweeted. Jay McGuiness additionally wrote on his own page, "I can safely say we wouldn't be there if it wasn't for our fans. #thankyoueveryone."

Aside from the "Idol" gig, The Wanted have a list of other scheduled performances Stateside. They will perform at mtvU Spring Break in Las Vegas on April 2, visit "Today" show on April 24, and drop by "The View" on the following day.

On top of that, they are lined up for KIIS FM's annual Wango Tango on May 12. They are joined by Maroon 5, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Foster the People, B.o.B, Gym Class Heroes, J. Cole, Big Sean, K'Naan, Chiddy Bang, Wallpaper. and Diggy Simmons.
