Jennifer Lopez is shocked that Shannon, Erika Van Pelt and Elise Testone are in the bottom three, but the judges decide not to use their 'save' privilege to keep Shannon on the show.

AceShowbiz - After disqualifying Jermaine Jones earlier this week, "American Idol" sent another contestant packing on Thursday, March 15. On the latest results show, Shannon Magrane, Erika Van Pelt and Elise Testone came out as the bottom three.

America's votes clearly shocked the judges as Jennifer Lopez said, "I'm not happy with the bottom three, especially with the performance that Elise had last night." Ryan Seacrest later announced that Elise and Erika are safe.

Shannon was given a chance to sing for her life, delivering Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day" which she had performed the night before. However, her performance could not lure the judges to use their "save" privilege. "Unfortunately, we're not going to use it tonight, Shannon. Thank you," Randy Jackson told her.

"I feel so good standing on this stage," teary Shannon stated while being surrounded by the remaining finalists.

Also on the March 15 results show, Chris Daughtry returned to "Idol" stage to perform with his band. Demi Lovato additionally catered the audience with her rendition of "Give Your Heart a Break".
