AceShowbiz - Snooki has found herself getting into some trouble with police in Florence, Italy. On Monday, May 30, the "Jersey Shore" star was involved in a fender bender with a patrol car that has been assigned to escort her, and sent a male and female police officer to a hospital for whiplash, bruises and cuts.
The 23-year-old reality TV star was driving her Fiat Multipla with co-star Deena Cortese and a member of the show's production team when she crashed into the back of the patrol car. Although two officers were rushed to the emergency room of the local Careggi hospital, no one involved sustained any serious injuries.
As a result of the fender bender, her vehicle was sandwiched between the highway wall and the police cruiser, and the rush hour traffic was brought to a standstill. Words are, Deena who was in the passenger seat at the time of the accident, had to exit through the window because the door was blocked by the wall.
Snooki was not arrested for the minor car crash, but was taken into the central police station of Florence to file routine paperwork. An insider told Us Weekly that the pint-sized star was "questioned at length about the crash and may face charges at a later date." In a statement released by MTV, it is noted that no alcohol was involved.
Snooki and her "Jersey Shore" co-star are in Italy to film season 4 of the reality show. Following the accident, SallyAnn Salsano, an executive producer at "Jersey Shore" production company 495, told The Star-Ledger newspaper that the show is still filming.
