'The family asks for a measure of privacy over the next several days as they mourn their loss,' a spokesman for the Johnson family said.

AceShowbiz - A funeral has been set for late Casey Johnson, the 30-year-old heiress of Johnson & Johnson empire and fiancee of Tila Tequila. Her body which was found lifeless in Los Angeles on Monday, January 4 will be "flown back east to her final resting place," her family's spokesman Jesse Derris said on Tuesday morning.

The funeral which will be held later this week, is private and attended only by immediate family. "The Johnson family wishes to thank everyone who has expressed condolences and support during this trying time," Derris said. "Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated."

In respect of the deceased, the family asks people to make donation to Casey Johnson Memorial at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Derris added, "Casey struggled throughout her life fighting this disease, and she would want to see all of us continue that fight on her behalf."

Meanwhile, no cause of death has been reported although early indication says that Casey died out of natural causes. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner's office, Ed Winter, said they are still investigating other possibilities other than diabetes. For once, Casey has a history of drug abuse and had entered rehab several times but police found no obvious signs that she took illegal drugs before death.

According to the authorities, more than a month is required to determine what actually killed her and the first step of autopsy will be performed on Wednesday, January 6. The result will be out in four to six weeks, pending the outcome of the toxicology tests.

Tila Tequila herself has reduced the number of her tweets. Her latest post was, "I can't stop these haunting visions of her and I. We made such a lovely couple, only beginning to spend the rest of our lives together..."
