Mos Def's upcoming music video in companion to his latest single "History" has been made available for sneak peek through a 30-minute snippet. Featuring black-and-white scenes, the newly-unveiled clip comes out via MTV.

"History" is one of the singles appearing in Def's fourth studio album entitled "The Ecstatic". The song has Talib Kweli lending his vocal on the hook. Its music video is promised to be premiered sometime soon.

"The Ecstatic" is up for Best Rap Album at 2010 Grammy Awards, facing off Common's "Universal Mind Control", Eminem's "Relapse", Flo Rida's "R.O.O.T.S." and Q-Tip's "The Renaissance". Also, one of its singles "Casa Bey" earns him a nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance.

Beside making music for his own album, Mos Def also contributes to other artists' projects. Along with Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack and the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb, he will be featured in Gorillaz's next year release "Plastic Beach".
