The tumultuous relationship of Jamelia and Darren Byfield finally comes to an end. In a confirming statement issued on behalf of the couple on Monday, November 2, it was stated "It is with regret that Jamelia and Darren Byfield today confirm they are splitting up and getting a divorce. No-one else is involved. Their priority is naturally their two children."

Jamelia and Darren Byfield had been dating on and off before they tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Eastland Estate in West Sussex in June 2008. The R 'n' B singer and the football player are parents to a four-year-old daughter Tiani. Jamelia also has another daughter, named Teja, from a previous relationship.

In companion to the split confirmation, report surfaces that Jamelia has moved out of the home she shares with Darren. "Their relationship has been through lots of ups and downs. Jamelia took him back after he was accused of straying but the last year has been tough," a friend says. "Jamelia decided to leave this week and there is no going back this time. They are both devastated, but have vowed to remain on civil terms for Tiani."

Personal statement regarding the divorce news is yet to be made by either Jamelia or Darren.
