Taylor Swift receives Best Female Video, Britney Spears grabs Best Pop Video and Green Day win Best Rock Video.

AceShowbiz - Those who manage to grab moonmen at this year's MTV Video Music Awards have been unveiled one by one as gala ceremony of the event was kicked off on September 13. Taylor Swift, Green Day and Beastie Boys are the early winners.

Taylor got Best Female Video, beating Lady GaGa, Beyonce Knowles, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson and Pink. The award was presented by Shakira and "Twilight" hunk Taylor Lautner.

When the country music singer was about to deliver her acceptance speech, Kanye West jacked her mic, telling the crowd that Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. Taylor looked stunned as people clapped and showed their support for Beyonce, but the 19-year-old singer managed to stand on the stage for a few more seconds when the attendees finally gave standing ovation to her.

Prior to the announcement of Best Female Video, Beastie Boys were announced as the winner of Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman). As for Green Day, they were handed Best Rock Video. When collecting the prize, Billie Joe Armstrong called on MTV to play more videos.

Next on MTV VMAs was the announcement of Best Pop Video which was presented by Nelly Furtado and Kristin Cavallari. Britney Spears, who was not present at the awards due to her hectic schedule of hitting the road, scooped the award from her tour site.
