TV

With 2009 San Diego Comic Con coming around the corner, more and more TV shows are announcing their panels while one is declaring absence. "Dollhouse", which was picked up by FOX despite being an underdog, will take advantage of the event to promote its second season. "Heroes", however, will pass on this event.

Joss Whedon will make his annual appearance at the event, as a rep to his TV series "Dollhouse". Its two-hour panel is scheduled on Friday, July 24, including a screening of the 13th episode "Epitaph One" which was not aired on TV and "a no-holds-barred Q and A about what they have planned for Season 2" by Whedon and star Eliza Dushku.

On contrary, "Heroes" will not erect a panel for the first time during its history. Still, creator Tim Kring would be present, announcing his participation to Chicago Tribune, "I plan on being there, along with some cast and writer/producers, etc. And we're fully expecting to have a great sneak peek at Season 4 to show."

The sold-out convention, which is a rich platform for promotion, will be held between July 23 to 26. Other TV shows that have confirmed their participations but have not yet announced their dates include "Lost", "Chuck", "Fringe", "V", "Flash Forward", "Eastwick", "Past Life", "Human Target", "True Blood", "The Vampire Diaries", "Smallville", "Psych", "Dexter", "The Big Bang Theory" and more.

Meanwhile, Sci-Fi has just announced the schedule for its shows. On Friday, July 24 there will be "Caprica", "Eureka", and "Stargate Universe". The next day, "Sanctuary" and "Warehouse 13" will take over. Discovery's "MythBusters" in the meantime, gets the Saturday slot with Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage on the frontline.
