Longtime lovers Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel have separated, US Weekly reports in an exclusive post on its site. "Sarah initiated the split this time," a source tells the publication. "He's bummed."
Reason for the pair's split isn't mentioned though, but it is confirmed that the break-up happened within the last two weeks. "He's really blue -- very down," another source tells US Weekly about Kimmel. "Seems like it's over for good this time. He's sad because he just bought a new place and now has nobody to share it with."
Sarah Silverman, who is a comedian, and Jimmy Kimmel, who works as TV host, started dating six years ago. They have been dating on-and-off for the last few months. Back in July 2008, representatives for both of them confirmed their split, yet gave no explanation on the reason that prompted their split. In late October the same year, Silverman made an appearance on his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" following report they have rekindled their romance.
On Monday, March 9, Kimmel surprised "The View" viewers when he appeared on the talk show dressing up as its former moderator Rosie O'Donnell. Asked by co-host Sherri Shepherd about his split from Silverman, Kimmel jokingly said, "The only thing better than breaking up is going on The View right after you break up. It's really [like] living a dream."
