Starting her music career as a songwriter for such big artists as Ciara, Britney Spears, Usher and Ludacris, Keri Hilson explores her talent by entering recording booth and making music for her debut studio album "In a Perfect World...". Teaming up with Akon, Lil Wayne, R. Kelly and Ne-Yo, she will release the record across U.S. on March 24.

In regard of the album's title, Keri told MTV that "it's [her] way of saying nothing in the world is perfect and no person in it is, either." She then added, "None of us is exempt from certain hardships and heartbreaks. It was really important for me to write songs that women can relate to from real situations. I didn't want to do an album that painted myself as perfect because no matter how things look, no one is."

Out of seventeen new tracks, Keri chose "Energy" as the lead single from the record. Written and produced by The Runaways, the track reached number 78 on Billboard Hot 100 and managed to climb to number 12 on Billboard Hot Dance Club Plays chart since making its debut in May 2008.

As for the second single, Keri released "Turnin' Me On", the song featuring Lil Wayne with Auto-Tune in his lines. Worked on by powerhouse producer Polow Da Don, it landed at number one spot on Urban Radio. Its music video moreover peaked at number one on BET and has been one of the top ten videos for four consecutive weeks.

While waiting for the release of her first studio album, Keri Hilson has been hitting the road with Lil Wayne as a guest star in his "I Am Music" tour. She is also joined by other supporting acts, including T-Pain, Gym Class Heroes and Gorilla Zoe.
