Jermaine Dupri's career at Def Jam will reportedly end and the record label is said to issue a statement announcing his exit from the company soon.

AceShowbiz - Jermaine Dupri may not be a head of Def Jam Urban division anymore as he has reportedly been fired from the record company. Official announcement is expected to be issued shortly, so AllHipHop has reported.

Previously, Jermaine Dupri has also been rumored to be terminated from Island Def Jam Music Group. He was said to be responsible for Mariah Carey's "E=MC²", which was claimed of having problems with a follow-up single after "Touch My Body". At that time, Def Jam was quick to slam down the rumor, saying that "there is absolutely no truth" to the issue.

Jermaine has been working for Def Jam as head of Def Jam Urban division since late 2006. He has produced Monica's 2006 fourth studio album "The Makings of Me" and also worked on multiple tracks on Jay-Z's 2007 studio set "American Gangster" ever since.
