Drake's use of artificial intelligence (AI) to replicate the voices of Tupac and Snoop Dogg on his diss track 'Taylor Made Freestyle' leads Jermaine Dupri to speak out about the potential risks of this emerging technology.

AceShowbiz - Before Drake and Kendrick Lamar's lyrical battle reached its peak, Drake released "Taylor Made Freestyle", a diss track that used AI to replicate the voices of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. This move drew significant criticism, with Tupac's estate threatening legal action due to perceived disrespect.

Jermaine Dupri, a vocal critic of AI in music, expressed concern over Drake's actions during a recent appearance at United Masters' SelectCon conference. He emphasized the need for responsible use of AI and highlighted the potential dangers it posed.

"If you're going to use AI, you've got to use it in a smart way," Dupri stated. "Because people don't understand some of the things it can damage. Like the Drake song where he used Snoop and Tupac's voice. People don't realize how seriously some people take Tupac."

Dupri believes that Snoop Dogg recognized the potential for danger and wisely refrained from retaliating. He had previously criticized rapper Sy The Rapper for using AI to impersonate Kendrick Lamar's voice in a track aimed at Drake, also deeming it "dangerous."

"I think Drake realized how dangerous it could have gotten," Dupri added.

The controversy highlights the ethical implications of using AI in music and the need for artists to consider the potential consequences of their actions. As artificial intelligence continues to develop, it remains to be seen how it will shape the future of music and entertainment.
