'Sex and the City' Coming Home for Stylish U.S. Premiere

Four days before 'Sex and the City' debuted in the theaters across the U.S., the highly anticipated romantic comedy movie rolled down its pink carpet at Radio City Music Hall, New York City.

AceShowbiz - After traveling through Europe for premieres and press conferences, "Sex and the City" finally fulfills its promise of making a memorable U.S. premiere at Radio City Music Hall, New York City on Tuesday, May 27. Delivering a glamorous night like none before, the special first screening of the romantic comedy movie saw Hollywood stars grazing a specially-designed pink carpet which is said to be enhanced with 10,000 sparkling crystals.

On the special night, all four leading actresses were welcomed to the city where all was started with a thundering screams of the fans lining up along the 51st Street. The ladies strolled down the pink carpet dressed in designers gowns. Sarah Jessica Parker who went to the premiere in the hands of her husband Matthew Broderick wore a silvery Nina Ricci gown, Kim Cattrall was looking great in a metallic green Vivienne Westwood dress, Cynthia Nixon chose to stand in front of the public wearing a white Narciso Rodriguez gown and Kristin Davis was dressed in a gold Donna Karan gown.

Aside from the four leading ladies, Jennifer Hudson who was missing SATC world premiere in London also turned up at the event along with Chris Noth, David Eigenberg and Jason Lewis. The premiere was also made merrier with the coming out of many other big names, including Bette Midler, Ashley Olsen, Molly Sims, Mary J. Blige, Donald and Melania Trump, Donna Karan, Michelle Williams (II), Fergie a.k.a. Stacy Ferguson, Lil' Kim, Jerry Seinfeld and Emmy Rossum.

After the screening, most of the celebrities attending the premiere moved on to the after party at MOMA's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden which has been decorated with 500 crystal heart ornaments in the garden's trees accompanying a Blossom chandelier of pink and green crystals. Adding to the crystal-fest, the after-party venue also showed off a crystal-encrusted sofa worth over $100,000, a crystal curtain, crystal lanterns and fuchsia crystals on the DJ booth and a giant Kiosque bag sculpture on the bars.

Continuing the story of the four New York friends, "Sex and the City" will be arriving in the theaters in less than three days on May 30. Many details to the story is still kept secrets. Still, some that have been shed stated that Carrie is engaged to Big, Samantha has moved to L.A., Charlotte is expecting a baby of her own and Miranda deals with her not-so-perfect life. And, with the much publicized drama in Carrie's life this time, the Michael Patrick King's tidbit promises to deliver a twist of its own.
