Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter III' will feature Kanye West on three tracks but won't include Eminem like the initial plan.

Two major Hip-Hop icons have teamed up to collaborate in 'Tha Carter III', the last of Lil Wayne's trilogy album. After citing those like Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Lil Mama and Ludacris to be among others who are in his album, Wayne also announced that Kanye West is also inclusive.

West has been reported to be contributing in the production panel, but Wayne added recently that he is also featured in some tracks. In an interview with DJ Semtex, Wayne revealed that West will appear on three tracks that will also feature Jim Jonson, Swizz Beatz and Deezle. "The first time, Kanye came and brought me 5 joints. The next time he came and gave me a CD with 15 joints on it. I had to tell him, hold on, please stop," Wayne said jokingly. "On the album Kanye has a good three (songs) but in the files he has about twenty."

"Tha Carter III" will be released on May 13 via Cash Money/Universal Records. "I hope it sells well," Wayne added. "I never (boast) because I know you can come out and not sell (one) record. I put my all into it, it's me on a platter so if you don't like it, then you don't like me." The first single "Lollipop" has been climbing the chart and has so far peaked at #56 on Billboard's Hot R'n'B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

In the same interview, Wayne also said that he initially wanted Eminem in the record but the Slim Shady has been off in response. "I've never done a song with Eminem," Wayne revealed the intention. "I sent him a song and he ain't do it. I didn't like that but it's all good. People be busy and stuff or a.k.a. just scared to get on a song with me."
